Elite Athlete | Denver, CO
Growing up I was never really active in sports or anything of that sort, however, both of my parents lived a healthy lifestyle so I had some great role models growing up. I decided to join the women’s tennis team in high school and then try out for the men’s golf team (we didn’t have a women’s). Those were the only two sports I played in high school but I still wouldn’t consider myself to be in great shape. In college, I got into running and ended up doing 4 half marathons and two tough mudders. I ended up getting a stress fracture from all the running I was doing so I turned to lifting to stay active and fell in love with weights. I ended up doing a bodybuilding show in the NPC bikini division in 2015, 2016, and two in 2017. I learned a lot about my body/nutrition/working out through those 3 years and started sharing my journey on Instagram to build connections and help others who may be stuck like I was. I am now living a balanced and healthy lifestyle; which to me means getting a double scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone on Friday night, followed but an intense workout on Saturday morning!
MY "AHA" MOMENT
My Sophomore-Junior year of high school my parents got divorced so when I went off to college in 2012 I took that sadness out on alcohol and drank about 5 days a week which resulted in me gaining 20+ pounds. I went to California in 2013 to visit my mom and felt so disgusted with how much I let myself go. My mom encouraged me to try going on a run on the strip one morning and I fell in love. When I got back to my college house I walked in to a bunch of hungover college students and realized I didn’t want to live like that anymore. The next day I woke up and changed my life – and I’ve never looked back!
MY SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
My biggest source of inspiration is my mom. I remember when I was just a little 4-year-old girl and my brother was 6, my mom would be doing step aerobics in the living room at 5am before she headed off to work and had to take us to day care. No matter how busy she was, she always made time to work-out and take care of herself because she knew my brother and I were watching everything she was doing. To this day my mom still wakes up at 4am before work to get her workouts in, she truly is the reason I am where I am today.
THE NEVER SETTLE ATTITUDE
I don’t care who you are or what you’ve accomplished, there is always room to improve. Improve relationships, improve physically, improve professionally, improve spiritually, etc. Settling gets you to a place of comfort but it’s impossible to grow while living comfortably. Pushing yourself to the point of being uncomfortable is where greatness happens.
#NeverSettle for anything.
Winning the 1st Phorm Athlete search in January of 2018. I NEVER thought I would have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing company. When I started my journey and followed fitness inspirations on Instagram, Jenna Fail was one of the first I followed. I was blown away by the friendships she had made through 1st Phorm and how highly she spoke of the company. Now that I’m a part of it, I cannot believe how amazing the people behind the brand are and cannot believe how much they’ve made me believe in myself. This company has CHANGED MY LIFE and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
THE THING THAT KEEPS ME GOING
My clients, my family, my social media family, those people who’ve reached out to me telling me how much I’ve inspired them to live a healthy lifestyle. Nothing compares to the feeling of having someone tell you that you helped them change their life.
THE END GOAL
To inspire, motivate, encourage, and help as many people as I possibly can. I want to show individuals that they can achieve anything they want in life. I want to encourage people to follow their passions, to never give up on themselves, and to never compare their journey to anyone else’s.
