Who is This Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie Good For?

Regardless of what your fitness goal may be ... this is a shake you can massage to help you meet any calorie or macro goal. The biggest downside to this shake, in my opinion, is the fat content ... which is a little high.

Otherwise, the calories, protein, and carbohydrate content are great!

For somebody trying to burn body fat ... this smoothie with peanut butter and banana can still work! You just want to make sure it fits in well with the rest of your nutrition throughout the day.

Is This Smoothie Vegan-Friendly?

This peanut butter banana smoothie recipe is NOT vegan-friendly. However, you can make it vegan-friendly with a very simple change! All you have to do is replace the Level-1 Caramel Latte with Vegan Power Pro.

Vegan Power Pro is a plant-based protein powder that works just as well for the recipe, and comes in a wide variety of flavors. For this recipe in particular, I love using the Chocolate Frost flavor. Just be conscious of how this replacement can alter the macros of the shake.

How to Freeze Your Bananas

If you're gearing up to make a banana peanut butter smoothie, don’t forget to freeze your bananas. Freezing bananas is a game-changer, providing natural sweetness and a creamy texture to your smoothie.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to freeze bananas for the ultimate smoothie experience…

Ripe is Right

Opt for ripe bananas with a blend of yellow and brown spots. This stage ensures optimal sweetness and flavor. The bananas should be just right—ripe enough for sweetness but not overly mushy.

Prep for the Freeze

Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into bite-sized pieces. Slicing makes it easier to blend later and ensures a smoother consistency in your smoothie.

Single Layer Freeze

Lay out the banana slices on a baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching. This prevents the slices from freezing together into a solid mass. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the bananas freeze until solid. This usually takes a few hours.

Transfer and Seal

Once the banana slices are frozen, transfer them into a resealable freezer bag. Remove excess air from the bag before sealing to prevent freezer burn and maintain the bananas' quality.

Freezer Storage

Store the sealed bag in the freezer until you're ready to blend your smoothie. Frozen bananas can be stored for several months without compromising their flavor or texture.
