NSF Certified Supplements by 1st Phorm
Most supplement companies ask you to trust them. We ask you to trust the proof.
Every product on this page carries the NSF Certified for Sport® mark ... the most rigorous independent certification in the supplement industry. Not self-reported. Not manufacturer-claimed. Third-party verified, every batch, by FDA-approved testing organizations.
Here's what that actually means for you: what's on the label is what's in the bottle. No banned substances. No hidden fillers. No guesswork.
NSF Certified for Sport® is the only third-party certification recognized by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and dozens of other professional sports organizations. When your career ... or your health ... depends on what you put in your body, this is the standard that matters.
We don't do this because we have to. No law requires this level of testing for supplements. We do it because these are products we use ourselves ... and we're not willing to cut corners on something that goes in our bodies, or yours.

What does NSF Certified for Sport® actually mean?
NSF International is an independent, not-for-profit organization founded in 1944. Their Certified for Sport® program was built specifically to address a real problem: the supplement industry is largely unregulated, and products have been found to contain contaminants, unlisted ingredients, and in some cases, substances that can end an athlete's career.
NSF Certified for Sport® closes that gap. To earn the mark, a product must pass testing for:
Label accuracy - ingredient amounts match what's printed, exactly
Purity - no harmful contaminants, heavy metals, or microbes above safe levels
Banned substance screening - free from 270+ substances prohibited by major sports organizations
Facility compliance - the manufacturing site is inspected and certified to meet quality standards
Less than 5% of supplement brands achieve this certification. Getting there takes time, money, and a willingness to be held accountable to an outside standard. That's the point.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all 1st Phorm supplements NSF certified?
Not all ... but several of our most popular products are, including Phormula-1, Phormula-1 Clear, Level-1, Megawatt, Micronized Creatine Monohydrate, Ignition, Opti-Greens 50, and Opti-Reds 50. All of our products, certified or not, are manufactured in an FDA SQF certified facility and tested by FDA-approved third-party labs.
What's the difference between NSF certified and third-party tested?
Third-party testing means an independent lab checks a product ... but not all third-party testing is equal. NSF Certified for Sport® is a formal certification program with strict, published standards. It requires ongoing batch testing, facility audits, and banned substance screening. "Third-party tested" without a specific certification program is a much lower bar.
Is NSF Certified for Sport safe for competitive athletes?
Yes. NSF Certified for Sport® is specifically designed for competitive athletes and is recognized by USADA, MLB, NHL, and other major sports organizations. It's the certification coaches and sports dietitians recommend when athletes can't afford to fail a drug test.
Why isn't every supplement NSF certified?
Not all of them need to be. NSF Certified for Sport was built to screen out banned substances in college and pro sports. The NCAA, MLB, and the rest require it for any product their athletes use.
For products headed into those leagues, we certify. It's expensive and rigorous, but it's the cost of playing in that space.
For other products, we use certifications like Informed Choice when they're the right fit. Across the board, every product at 1st Phorm is built to the same quality standard, certified or not. We pick the right certification when the situation calls for it. The certification may change from product to product. The quality and effectiveness don't.
