1st Phorm Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

At 1st Phorm, we don’t publish content to fill space or chase clicks. We publish content to help you make better decisions about training, nutrition, supplementation, recovery, and long-term health.

There are no shortcuts to real results, and there are no shortcuts to good information either. If a piece of content carries the 1st Phorm name, it should do three things: tell the truth, be easy to understand, and help you take action.

The same standard we bring to our products is the standard we bring to our content.

Our Editorial Standards

Every piece of editorial content we publish is built around five core standards:

Accuracy. We work to ensure our content reflects the best information available at the time it is written, reviewed, or updated.

Clarity. We write in plain language so readers can understand what matters and what to do next.

Usefulness. We focus on practical information that can help people make informed decisions.

Integrity. We do not knowingly publish misleading claims, inflated promises, or unsupported statements.

Accountability. When something needs to be corrected, clarified, or updated, we address it.

Editorial Team

1st Phorm content is created by writers, coaches, product educators, and subject matter experts. Depending on the topic, content may also be created and reviewed by licensed nutritionists, nutrition coaches, certified trainers, product specialists, or qualified healthcare professionals.

Whenever possible, we identify the author and include relevant credentials, certifications, or experience so readers understand who created the content and why their perspective matters.

Members of the editorial team include:

  • Jon Quintal, Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, N.A.S.M.
  • Truth Fry, BSES, NASM CPT, NASM CNC
  • Michael Schrader, BSES, MHA, NASM CPT, NASM CSNC
  • Katie Hoehn, MA, RD, CSSD, CSCS
  • Drew Skyles, Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, N.A.S.M.
  • Calvin Gilbride, Content Editor
  • Jon Hammond, Editorial Manager

How We Choose Topics

We create content based on what matters most to our customers and community. That includes common questions about fitness, nutrition, supplementation, performance, recovery, healthy habits, and long-term wellness.

We also develop content based on emerging research, recurring questions from the 1st Phorm community, product education needs, and topics that can help readers pursue real, long-term results.

Content Development Process

Before content is published, it may go through a process that includes research and outlining, drafting, editorial review for clarity and tone, fact review, source verification, and legal/compliance review, if applicable.

For more technical or health-related subjects, we may involve additional reviewers to help confirm that the content is accurate, balanced, and responsible.

Accuracy, Sources, and Objectivity

We aim to base our content on credible and relevant sources. Depending on the subject, that may include peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, expert consensus statements, government or institutional guidance, product specifications, and qualified expert input.

When a topic is evidence-based, we work to reflect the strength of that evidence honestly. When evidence is limited, mixed, or evolving, we do our best to say that clearly. Where appropriate, we may include references, supporting links, author information, and published or updated dates so readers can better evaluate the content for themselves.

We do not present opinion as fact. When a statement reflects personal experience, coaching perspective, or interpretation, we aim to make that distinction clear.

Writing Standards and Principles

Our content is written for real people, not academics.

That means we aim to make every article clear, practical, respectful, and easy to apply.

We avoid fear-based messaging, clickbait, exaggerated outcomes, and unnecessary jargon. We also work to avoid shame-based language around weight, fitness level, body composition, or health status.

When appropriate, we distinguish between evidence-based information, expert interpretation, and anecdotal or personal experience.

Product Mentions, Recommendations, and Brand Relationships

Because this is a 1st Phorm website, some editorial content may reference 1st Phorm products, services, programs, or tools when they are relevant to the topic being discussed.

That does not change our responsibility to be accurate. If we mention a product, ingredient, or protocol, it should be because it is relevant to the reader, not because we are willing to sacrifice clarity or credibility.

We do not promise results. Outcomes can vary based on consistency, training, nutrition, sleep, stress, medical history, and individual physiology. When we discuss potential benefits, we aim to describe what something may support, not what it can guarantee.

If content includes sponsored relationships, affiliate arrangements, paid partnerships, or other material connections, we disclose them where required.

Testimonials and Community Experiences

We value stories, reviews, and shared experiences from our customers and community. They can be motivating and informative.

At the same time, testimonials and anecdotal experiences are not a substitute for scientific evidence or individualized professional guidance. Individual results vary, and one person’s experience does not guarantee the same outcome for someone else.

Updating and Correcting Content

We review content on an ongoing basis and update it when needed.

This may happen when new research becomes available, best practices change, product details change, or a factual error or unclear statement is identified.

Where appropriate, articles may include trust markers such as:

If a correction materially changes the meaning of a piece, we will revise the content and note the update when appropriate. In some cases, outdated content may be substantially rewritten, redirected, or removed if it no longer meets our standards.

Reader Feedback

If you spot an error, believe a clarification is needed, or want to share feedback on any article, we want to hear it.

Please contact us. All substantive feedback is reviewed by our editorial team, and we investigate credible correction requests promptly.

Medical, Nutrition, and Fitness Disclaimer

We will continue working to publish content that is honest, useful, accountable, and built to help real people move forward.
